The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the final Class 12 board exam timetable for 2026. The board has taken many significant steps to avoid clashes with the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE Main 2026. Since class 12 students appear in the JEE Mains exam, the boad has scheduled the last exam for session 2 on April 9, which is a day before the JEE Mains exam on April 10. One must know that this move comes after years of clashes between CBSE exams and JEE Main. The clash had previously caused stress and inconvenience for students preparing for both exams. Along with considering JEE, the board has emphasized that sufficient gaps have been provided between subjects while preparing the timetable. The board has revised several subject exam dates, including accountancy, psychology, geography, and business studies. The February 21 exam will now cover automotive and fashion studies instead of business studies and administration. NTA to utilize Class 11 registration details for JEE scheduling In order to ensure proper coordination, the board has asked all JEE aspirants to provide their Class 11 registration details in the application form itself. The registration number will allow the National Testing Agency (NTA) to schedule JEE Main exams without overlapping with the CBSE board exams. What changed in the final datesheet?While preparing the 2026 CBSE Class 12 date sheet, sufficient gaps between subjects have been ensured. Over 40,000 subject combinations were managed to prevent overlap. Teacher availability during evaluation will be maintained. This year, the date sheet has been released nearly 110 days in advance. It is expected to help students manage both board and entrance exam preparation efficiently. The board has revised several subject exam dates, including accountancy, psychology, geography, and Business Studies.
