…as it scoops four PMR prestigious awards in the IT Category
Leemisa Thuseho
COMPUTER Business Solutions (CBS), a leading technology solutions provider, has once again dominated the PMR Africa Awards, being named the best IT Development Company in Lesotho.
CBS was amongst the many businesses that were recognised during the PMR Africa: Kingdom of Lesotho Survey Business Excellence Awards held at Avani Lesotho yesterday.
The company won a Diamond Arrow Award (Outstanding – highest of all) after it scored 4.5 points out of 5 in the IT Development Companies category.
As if that was not enough, the company was also named the Gold Category winner in IT Consultation, IT Retail, Sales and Service.
CBS has been winning PMR awards perennially since 2014. This year’s feat was a repeat of last year when the company won five accolades: a Diamond Category Award in IT Development Companies as well as Golden Arrow Awards in Data Centres, IT Consulting Companies, IT Retailers and IT Sales and Service Companies.
In an interview with the Lesotho Times, CBS’s Manager – Corporate Marketing, Molemo Pefole, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the company’s valued clients.
“These awards are a testament to the unwavering support and loyalty from our clients. We dedicate these honours to them and reaffirm our commitment to going above and beyond in providing exceptional digital business solutions,” he said.
He said since its founding in 1998, CBS has been at the forefront of technological innovation in Lesotho, and today’s recognition by PMR Africa further solidifies its position as a leader in the industry.
The company continues to make substantial strides in advancing Lesotho’s Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiatives, positioning itself as a key driver of digital transformation within the nation.
“Looking ahead, we are committed to working even harder to exceed excellence and continue delivering cutting-edge solutions that empower our nation to thrive in the digital era,” added Pefole.
CBS’s achievements are not only a reflection of its industry leadership but also its unwavering dedication to customer service. By consistently prioritising its clients’ needs, CBS has built a reputation for reliability, trustworthiness, and innovation.
As CBS celebrates this latest accolade, it remains steadfast in its mission to provide best-in-class digital business solutions while championing the adoption of advanced technologies in Lesotho and beyond.
PMR Africa Chief Executive Officer, Johan Hattingh, said the event is staged annually, and the main objective is to promote excellence and enhance competitiveness both locally and internationally.
“We do these awards functions on an annual basis here in Lesotho and the big thing for us is we want to celebrate excellence,” Hattingh told the Lesotho Times on the sideline of the event.
He said the awards are the culmination of a research process whereby companies and institutions are rated based on respondents’ perceptions, with a strong focus on evaluating and measuring customer service and customer satisfaction.
“We also measure brand awareness, marketing efforts, as well as levels of innovation.”
Hattingh believes that when people are recognised, they become passionate about their work, their life, as well as their purpose.
He added that companies can use PMR awards as part of a ritual to celebrate success and to show that they can compete with others, including international companies.
Amongst the winners of the day was Avis Fleet. The company has been recognised as the top-performing business in Lesotho’s Fleet Management and Mobility Sector, winning the prestigious Diamond Arrow Award.
Representing Avis Fleet, Yvonne Ozturk, hailed PMR Africa for the initiative, saying it encourages excellence and healthy competition.
“We are honoured to receive the award as this is the highest honour a company can receive in their respective categories,” Ms Ozturk said.
“The victory reflects the business’ exceptional standards in service, customer satisfaction and overall excellence, which, based on a survey of business leaders, government officials, and analysts, are a testament to a company’s success and reputation.
“The above is a symbol of trust and quality, a morale booster for employees that acknowledges the hard work and dedication of the entire Avis Fleet Team. It also encourages healthy competition and drives the entire industry toward higher standards of service and customer care, ultimately benefiting all of Lesotho’s consumers.”
