Catherine Connolly is just days away from taking office after winning the presidential election, and before her inauguration, the soon-to-be president has paid a visit to Áras an Uachtaráin. On Wednesday, Catherine and her husband Brian McEnery joined President Michael D Higgins and his wife Sabina for lunch. Pic: Maxwell's While President Higgins wore his classic suit and tie, Catherine opted for a statement top from an Irish brand for the visit. The top Catherine wore to Áras an Uachtaráin is the NAYA long-sleeved funnel neck top, which is mostly beige with a contrasting black pattern splashed down one side. President Michael D. Pic: Maxwell's Irish brand NAYA describes itself as expressing 'a unique and understated style, encompassing a relaxed flair' and has a range of funky prints. Catherine added a brooch to the top and finished off her look by wearing black trousers and boots. During the visit, President Higgins wished Catherine 'health and happiness' and they joked about whether they should link arms for the photos. Pic: Maxwell's President Higgins is expected to move out of Áras an Uachtaráin on Monday after 14 years and head home to Galway. The next day, on Tuesday, 11 November, Catherine will be inaugurated at St Patrick’s Hall, Dublin Castle, on Tuesday. She'll then move into the residence in Phoenix Park.
