News release The Castaic Union School District announced that Castaic Middle School, Castaic Elementary School and Northlake Hills Elementary School have been named to the Educational Results Partnership 2025 Honor Roll, recognizing them among California’s top-performing public schools. Now in its 11th year, the ERP Honor Roll highlights public schools, school districts and charter schools across the state that have demonstrated outstanding success in closing achievement gaps and accelerating student academic growth, according to a news release from the Castaic district. Only about 21% of eligible schools and districts statewide earned a place on the 2025 list, the release said. The Honor Roll, presented by Educational Results Partnership as part of the national Campaign for Business and Education Excellence, celebrates schools that are preparing students with the skills necessary for success in both the workforce and in life, the release said. It remains the only school recognition program in California presented in partnership with business leaders and based solely on objective student achievement data. “We are incredibly proud of our schools and the dedicated staff who make academic excellence a reality for every student,” Bob Brauneisen, superintendent of Castaic Union School District, said in the release. “This recognition reflects the hard work, collaboration, and commitment of our teachers, administrators, students and families.” Honor Roll schools are recognized for comprehensively outperforming peers on the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress in English language arts and math across all student groups, while consistently improving outcomes for historically underserved populations, the release said. To qualify, schools must have performed above the mean at least 80% of the time across all grade levels and student cohorts served.
