After losing their last three games, the Arizona Cardinals will look to right the ship in a tough road matchup against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 6. But unfortunately, it seems as if star quarterback Kyler Murray will be going into the game with an injury that may very well put his availability in doubt
In the third quarter of the team’s Week 5 game against the Tennessee Titans, Murray was briefly forced to exit the game with a foot injury before later returning to the game. And it was quite clear to most that the injury suffered by Murray was affecting him pretty significantly.
After the Week 5 game, Murray gave a bit of an ominous update on his foot injury, saying “We’ve got to see” regarding whether the injury would linger into Week 6. And at least early in the week leading up to their Week 6 game, the injury has affected Murray’s ability to practice.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon revealed that Murray would not be practicing due to the foot injury, further listing him as day-to-day in regards to whether he will be available by Sunday.

Given the current trajectory of the Cardinals, sitting at 2-3 on the season after losing their last three games, the Cardinals want to do anything they can to stop the bleeding and get things back on track. And Murray potentially missing Sunday’s game would obviously make that task far more difficult to do.
Whoever ultimately starts at quarterback for Arizona will have an incredibly difficult matchup on their hands against a Colts defense that has not only allowed the third-fewest points in the NFL thus far this season, but has also forced the third-most interceptions of opposing quarterbacks on the year.
Obviously, Cardinals fans are hoping that it is Murray who is able to take on this difficult task. But unless we see something drastic change in his status over the next few days, it at least seems like he has a ways to go in his recovery process to suit up on Sunday.
