After a third round which has lasted more than a week, attention can finally turn to the last 16 of the Carabao Cup.
The first domestic cup competition has now reached the business end, with teams only another three ties away from a Wembley showpiece. The last 32 teams have been competing across 16 ties, with the Premier League’s big hitters now all entering the tournament.
Liverpool, beaten finalists last season, booked their place in the fourth round after beating Southampton at Anfield. Holders Newcastle will be looking to join them when they face Bradford City on Wednesday night.
That’s one of four ties taking place tonight, with the draw being conducted after Arsenal’s visit to League One Port Vale. Elsewhere, Manchester City travel to Huddersfield and Tottenham face Doncaster Rovers.
Seven Premier League teams have already put their name in the hat, but are joined by third-tier Wycombe and the story of this season’s competition Grimsby Town.
The Mariners of League Two are in the final 16 after following up their remarkable victory over Manchester United by beating Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.
The draw will get underway from around 10.20pm and MIrror Football will have the ties as they are confirmed…
