As Damien Woody openly shared his claim of considering the New England Patriots‘ quarterback Drake Maye as the best deep ball thrower, Cam Newton stood against it. According to the free agent, Maye still has a long way to go in order to compete against the Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen. “I’m going to tell you why I am a fan of Drake Maye absolutely, but one thing that you have to understand this more than anybody. In order to be the best, you have to do what beats the best. And in this case, you did it once, but to beat the best, you have to do this twice because they’re in your now Drake Maye, you have to stand up and stand on business, put your big toes, East and West, see Mitchell heels to the ground and stand on business. And I don’t think that they have what it takes to dethrone the Buffalo Bills,” he said. Comparing the numbers to the Buffalo Bills’ QB Josh Allen, the difference turns out to be quite surprising. However, there’s a strong reason behind Newton’s thought to compare Drake Maye’s numbers to those of Josh Allen.
