Calvin Harris accuses financial adviser of stealing millions for real estate project

Calvin Harris is taking legal action against his former financial advisor, alleging he stole over $20million from him to fund a real estate project in Hollywood.

The DJ and producer, 41, has alleged Thomas St. John pushed him to invest in CMNTY Culture Campus, a project reportedly meant to feature “recording studios, office space and artists’ lounges”.

According to Variety, the singer alleges he was given little information about the deal and was asked to sign documents without information, making a $10 million loan and a $12.5 million equity investment.

He further claims the adviser put $11.7 million into a company he controls, and that he “does not know where [his] investment has gone or what it has been used for”.

In the arbitration filing, his attorneys allege the investment “has been, at best, a complete boondoggle, and, at worst, a complete fraud.”

The $10 million loan was scheduled for repayment by the end of January, but both the principal and interest remain unpaid according to the filing. It also says St. John ceased being Harris’ adviser in April.

St. John has denied any wrongdoing, with the adviser’s attorney telling Variety: “Unhappy with the pace of the project, he [Harris] chose to pursue private arbitration to assert his discontent.

“It’s no secret that due to interest rates and other market factors real estate projects are taking longer to build. But the development is very much viable and expected to have a $900+ million valuation when completed. Mr. St. John denies any wrongdoing.”

In August, the DJ became a father for the first time after his wife, BBC Radio 1 presenter Vick Hope, gave birth to a baby boy.

“My wife is a superhero and I am in complete awe of her primal wisdom! Just so grateful,” Harris shared on Instagram with a heartwarming series of photos marking the birth.

“We love you so much Micah.”

Other pictures captured intimate moments from the birth itself, including Vick in a candlelit birthing pool with scenic views, and Calvin holding their son in his arms shortly after delivery.

In a more unconventional moment, the One Kiss hitmaker also revealed that the couple had chosen to have Vick’s placenta made into capsules, sharing a photo of the preparation process.
