Calling all Colins! King Pins offers free bowling to namesakes ahead of Belfast launch

Bowling and entertainment brand, King Pins, is gearing up for its highly-anticipated Belfast opening, marking the opening of bookings for its new location with a special pre-launch offer, seeking out all local ‘Colins’. In homage to King Pins’ very own larger-than-life mascot, Colin, the new go-to destination to bowl, eat and play is inviting anyone named Colin to make themselves known for the chance to win free bowling at its new city centre complex. All ‘Colins’ across Northern Ireland can email the famous King Pins mascot directly on kingpincolin@kingpins.co.uk to avail of a free-of-charge game of ten-pin bowling in Belfast’s new home of entertainment. The 30,000 square feet next-generation leisure experience is set to open its doors on 12 December, just in time for festive meet-ups and social gatherings. To enter, local Colins from Belfast to Bangor; Ards to Armagh; Lisburn to Limavady; and everywhere in between can email kingpincolin@kingpins.co.uk saying “I’m a Belfast Colin!” to stake their claim. Colin will then be in touch to verify each Colin’s name and address and, once confirmed, will issue a voucher allowing to book one free game of Ten Pin Bowling at King Pins Belfast Castle Lane. On a recent walkabout of Belfast, Colin - who’s a ‘Big Fish’ over the water - certainly turned heads, with families and passersby stopping to say hello and pose for pictures. Now, as King Pins gets closer to its Belfast opening, Colin is on a mission to make some more friends. This November - subscribe to the News Letter’s daily newsletter Commenting on the quirky pre-opening offer, James Travis, brand manager at King Pins, said: “As we edge closer to our grand opening, we wanted to do something fun to mark our Belfast launch. Our mascot Colin is a well-known and loved part of the King Pins family, and always central to our launch in any new location. “Our ‘call out for Colins’ opening offer is a fun way to engage with the people of Belfast and beyond. For those named Colin, this is your chance to enjoy a free game of bowling on us. So, if your name is Colin - or you know a local Colin - get in touch. “We’re looking forward to sharing the unique King Pins experience with Colins – and everyone else – when we open our first Belfast location in just a few weeks’ time.” With its unique leisure and food offering, King Pins is the go-to destination to bowl, eat and play for groups of friends, families, work outings and date nights in Belfast. Spanning two floors across The Keep development on Castle Lane, Belfast, the state-of-the-art venue will feature 15 ten-pin bowling lanes, an extensive range of immersive games and activities, including NI firsts such as ice-free curling, tech darts, duck pin bowling and crazy pool.
