The Criminal Justice Research and Planning Unit says it’s time to treat crime and violence not just as law enforcement issues, but as public health challenges. Director Cheryl Willoughby made the call as she addressed a workshop where the Unit released their findings from an examination of the social histories of accused young offenders on remand at the Barbados Prisons.
