Call to foster creativity, innovation and problem-solving skills among students

Research Advisor at Vignan University, T. Subbaiah, on Saturday said it is imperative to foster creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills among students.

Speaking at the inauguration of ‘Epistemicon 2025’, a technical symposium organised by Andhra Loyola Institute of Engineering and Technology (ALIET), Mr. Subbaiah, who is a former scientist from CSIR-Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology (CSIR-IMMT), Bhubaneswar, said events like these serve as launchpad for young minds to showcase their talents through paper presentations, project expos, quizzes, and other events.

He also shared with the students his humble beginnings and the hard work that went into realising his dreams. Mr. Subbaiah expressed hope it would encourage the young learners to pursue their aspirations with determination and resilience. “May this experience become a meaningful milestone in your journey towards academic excellence and professional success,” he said.

Senior professional from DXC Technology, Ch. Swapna, emphasised the importance of interdisciplinary learning and cutting-edge research in shaping future engineers.

Epistemicon 2025 featured paper presentations, project expos, coding challenges, and technical quizzes, attracting the participation of students from across various institutions. The event was convened by L. Kanya Kumari and co-convened by K. Venkateswara Rao, under the guidance of the director and secretary of ALIET, B. Joji Reddy, principal O. Mahesh and rector P.R. John.
