Caitlin Clark Makes Her NFL Fandom Extremely Clear at Golf Event

While it’s the WNBA offseason, Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark is still competing and making headlines — this time in the golf world. For the second straight year, she’s participating in the LPGA Pro-Am at The ANNIKA Driven by Gainbridge at Pelican. The event, hosted by golf legend Annika Sorenstam, paired Clark with current LPGA pro Nelly Korda on Wednesday. Her Fever teammates Lexie Hull and Sophie Cunningham were on hand to support her as her caddies. One memorable moment, captured by the LPGA’s social media team, came when Clark and Korda were talking about the NFL. After Korda revealed she’s a Green Bay Packers fan, Clark made it very clear she’s a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs supporter. “You’re a Packer fan?” Clark asked Korda. “Not the Packers… I’m a Chiefs fan. I’m a huge Chiefs fan.” Video of the interaction is below. "I remember for one of my birthdays I got this cute little set of pink golf clubs… and then kind of stopped playing. During COVID, I picked it back up in college. “I think it just shows how powerful supporting one another can truly be, and I’ve always been a big advocate of that — supporting women’s sports. So it’s really fun to see [Nelly] do her craft up close and see how good she is… she just makes the game of golf look really easy, and I’m rooting for her to win this week.” The Pro-Am is a unique opportunity for celebrities and amateurs to participate in a typical nine-hole round alongside several of the pros who will compete in the main tournament, which begins Thursday, with Korda entering as one of the clear favorites.
