CAF Youths to access overseas scholarships under new education partnership

A new education pathway has opened for young people in the Christian Apostolic Fellowship (CAF) Church, after the church’s National Youth Ministry signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) yesterday with PP Management Training and Consulting Group, a DHERST-recognized education and training provider.

The agreement sets in motion an ambitious program of scholarships designed to make higher education more accessible for CAF youth in Papua New Guinea.

Under the deal, students endorsed by their local pastors will be eligible for 50 percent tuition and admission fee scholarships to six top universities in India, where they can pursue a wide range of academic careers.

Closer to home, the MOU also secures 50 percent scholarships for those wishing to study at Kimbe Community Health Worker Training College, and for certificate and diploma programs at PP Management Training Institute’s Waigani Campus in Port Moresby.

Applications for the 2026 academic year are already open, and the partnership’s backers urged young people to move quickly.

“This is about giving our youth the opportunity to build futures through education, whether abroad or in PNG,” said PP Management chairman Pain Pyare, who signed the agreement alongside CAF National Youth President Harrison Ekeram.

All CAF youth members interested in applying are advised to liaise with their pastors for endorsement before submitting their applications. Inquiries can be made through PP Management’s Waigani Campus via phone (70122544), WhatsApp (82466765), or email (ppmtiwaiganicampus@gmail.com).

The initiative marks one of the most significant private-church partnerships in PNG’s education sector, signaling both the church’s growing role in human capital development and the appetite among young Papua New Guineans for pathways that extend beyond national borders.
