BusinessDay hosts September Millennial Hangout on Turning Passion into Profit

As more young professionals juggle full-time jobs with entrepreneurial pursuits, the question of how to balance passion projects with career growth has become increasingly urgent. To explore practical strategies for making both worlds work, BusinessDay’s digital department will host the September edition of its Millennial Hangout, themed “Passion to Profit: Balancing Work and Entrepreneurship.”

The virtual session will hold on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at 12:30 PM WAT, and is open to professionals, entrepreneurs, and aspiring business owners looking to scale side hustles without losing career momentum.

Highlighting the relevance of the discussion, Linda Ochugbua, Digital Sales Manager at BusinessDay, said the shift in modern work culture has made entrepreneurship more accessible but also more demanding. “This edition of Millennial Hangout is designed to show young people how they can manage both worlds effectively and profitably,” she noted.

The event will be moderated by Ethel Adonu and will feature speakers with diverse expertise in business and entrepreneurship, including:
• Temitope Okeseyin, Founder, University of Freelancing
• Ebunoluwa Opelami, Head, Talent & Performance, FCMB Group
• Peter Michael, Travel Entrepreneur & Global Business Strategist
• Damola Salvador-Adebayo, Managing Director, Digispish
• Nkechi Alade, Principal Consultant, Elvaridah

Discussions will centre on time management, leveraging professional skills for business, scaling side hustles, and staying productive while pursuing multiple goals.

The Millennial Hangout continues to provide young Nigerians with a platform to learn, connect, and engage with industry experts across diverse fields. Participation is free, with the session streaming live on BDTV’s YouTube channel.
