After a theatrical release in the United States, Bugonia is arriving in Indian cinemas on October 31, 2025. Directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, the film stars Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, Aidan Delbis, Stavros Halkias, and Alicia Silverstone. It follows the story of two men who kidnap a powerful CEO in the basement of their home, suspecting that she is secretly an alien who wants to destroy Earth. Ahead of Bugonia's release, Emma exclusively told Zoom about the film being shot in a basement. There’s a sort of insanity and a commentary in the midst of a really small environment, which I think Yorgos tends to be drawn to." She further mentioned, "We're in a basement, and it’s really just people talking to each other a lot of the time, having perspectives that feel maybe incorrect or twisted. But they reveal these different versions of humanity and what can happen in a downward spiral of convincing yourself of something." The actress shaved her head for this role. Jesse, on the other hand, essays the character Teddy Gatz. As for Aidan Delbis, he will be seen as Teddy's cousin Don. "So it was actually one of the greatest experiences of my life, very freeing, and it’s just hair. I thought it would be longer by now, but it’s just hair," she shared.
