These are the first look photos inside a new Grand Central store that attracted a queue of 100 shoppers this morning, Friday, September 19.
Søstrene Grene opened at 9:59am to the sound of classical music played by a string duo while two ballerinas danced outside the shop.
The Danish brand has come to Birmingham for the first time after successful launches in other UK cities and towns including Coventry and Leamington Spa.

As you’ll see in the snaps, the shop sells homeware, craft items, gifts, sweets and more, with a labyrinthine layout to create dedicated sections for themed items.
It includes a tea section, an area dedicated to baking, a craft space and a zone dedicated to wellbeing.
Items are priced from as little as 14p, with many under £10 and a significant chunk of the stock under £5.
While there are some items you’d find in the likes of Ikea, Søstrene Grene has a distinct style that you’ll see as you peruse this gallery.
We’ve got videos and updates on the new shop opening coming over on our TikTok and Instagram accounts, so be sure to follow and you can see more there too.
