Browns trade QB Joe Flacco to Bengals in swap of AFC North foes

Former Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco is on the move again.
On Tuesday, the Cleveland Browns traded the recently demoted Flacco and a sixth round draft pick to the Cincinnati Bengals for a fifth round draft pick,
Flacco, 40, is likely to serve as the Bengals starting quarterback moving forward, after Joe Burrow suffered a turf toe injury and underwent surgery earlier this season.
In the subsequent weeks, Cincinnati has used Jake Browning at quarterback, but have lost three straight games.
Now, Flacco will suit up for his third AFC North franchise in his career.
Over four starts with the Browns in 2025, Flacco posted a 1-3 record, throwing for 815 yards, 2 TDs along with 6 INT’s.
He will now team up with receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins in what is one of the most formidable receiving duos in the NFL.
The trade also likely sets up two more Flacco appearances against the Baltimore Ravens this season:
The Bengals will travel to Green Bay to face the Packers on Sunday at 4:25 p.m.
