The Cleveland Browns were last seen getting routed by the New England Patriots, 32-13, back in Week 8, which led to Myles Garrett slamming his helmet down on the ground in frustration and that kneeling on the sideline by himself in the fourth quarter. Garrett had racked up five sacks in the game, so his frustration was understandable. But apparently, that wasn’t even why he was upset. He was angry because head coach Kevin Stefanski decided to pull him off the field to avoid injury, and defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz opened up on Garrett’s sideline tantrum this week. And we had that at the end of the Miami game. And guys want sacks and interceptions and things like that. They’re fairly – well, they’re easier to get at that time of the game than other times. But this was the point that we were down. And I appreciate the competitiveness of him wanting to figure that out.” FOXBOROUGH, MASSACHUSETTS – OCTOBER 26: Myles Garrett #95 of the Cleveland Browns looks on during warmups prior to the game =NE at Gillette Stadium on October 26, 2025 in Foxborough, Massachusetts. Stefanski taking Garrett out of the game in a blowout is very defensible. He did not want his superstar getting hurt, and that’s especially considering the Browns signed Garrett to a four-year, $160 million contract extension back in March. But with Garrett being the hyper-competitive athlete that he is, he obviously saw things a bit differently. It’s important to remember that Garrett requested a trade from Cleveland at the beginning of this past offseason, but ultimately agreed to stay with the Browns when they made him the highest-paid non-quarterback in history (at the time). The 29-year-old has made it very clear that he is frustrated with constantly losing, as Cleveland went just 3-14 last year and is just 2-6 thus far in 2025 with no signs of breaking out of it. It’s definitely no fault of Garrett, who has already logged 10 sacks through eight games, marking his eighth straight campaign with double-digit sacks.
