Browns’ Myles Garrett Has Heated Sideline Moment After Historic Feat

Cleveland Browns defensive star Myles Garrett may have achieved some impressive history on Sunday against the New England Patriots. Despite his strong efforts, his frustrations with the team losing to the New England Patriots were clear. Garrett is a defensive force and was a menace to the Patriots, recording five sacks on New England’s young quarterback, Drake Maye. Those sacks weren’t enough to prevent the team’s sixth loss of the season, as they fell 32-13. As commentators announced the single-game sacks record to television viewers, Garrett was shown erupting on the sidelines. After removing his helmet, he slammed it down and may have said a few expletives during the explosion. During the postgame conversation with reporters, Garrett may have explained why he was so frustrated, and it makes a lot of sense. He wanted to keep doing whatever he could to help his team win the game. There’s a chance we can win, I wanna be a part of it,” he said in his postgame remarks. “I don’t care how dire the situation looks. I wanna try to make something happen. So I hate coming out in those situations. I hate that kind of inevitability and not being able to do anything about it, because I want to win. I’ll do anything,” he told reporters.” Garrett said, per The Akron Beacon Journal. In addition to Garrett’s sack, his teammate Alex Wright also recorded one for the defense. Still, the Patriots quarterback overcame those and remained steady throughout his latest game. Kayshon Boutte, Stefon Diggs, and Hunter Henry each added to the Patriots’ side of the scoreboard. Garrett entered the league in 2017 as the Browns’ No. 1 pick and has remained with the team since then. That’s included many rough stretches, including his team’s 2-6 start this season. There has also been speculation that he wanted to be traded from Cleveland. While he seemed much calmer during his postgame press conference, it’s very clear that Garrett doesn’t like the current situation facing him and the Browns. Some fans and analysts continue to speculate that a change at quarterback might help, with the team’s draft pick, Shedeur Sanders, waiting for his opportunity to replace Dillon Gabriel.
