Broncos Star Sends Strong Message to Chiefs Before AFC West Clash

The Denver Broncos improved to 8-2 with a 10-7 win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday, Nov. 6, but running back J.K. Dobbins wasn’t too pleased with the offense’s effort. “Yeah, cool, we’re 8-2 … [but] the defense is winning us the games and we’re not helping them. We’re not doing them any justice,” Dobbins said. “I feel bad the way we play on offense and the way they play on defense because they’re doing so great and we’re doing so bad. They’re our brothers too, and it just sucks because they’re just out there so many plays, playing their butts off. We can’t keep doing this to them.” As Dobbins looks to make improvements on the offensive side of the ball, defensive star Nik Bonitto is only concerned with the play on his side of the ball. NFL News: NFL Forced Al Michaels to Make Correction During Chargers-Vikings Game “We don’t look at what the offense does, what the special teams does. Our job is to go out there and get stops,” Bonitto, who added to his team-leading 9.5 sacks, said after the game. “So we have that mentality, and we have the right guys who come in with that mentality.” That mentality will be needed as the Broncos ready themselves for a rested Kansas City Chiefs squad sitting at home this weekend before the AFC West clash in Week 11. After his team’s victory on Thursday night, Bonitto made it clear the road to winning the division goes through Patrick Mahomes and company. “If you want to win the West, it goes through Kansas City, respectfully,” Bonitto said postgame. “They’ve done a great job over there for multiple years now, so I mean if we want to win the West we’ve got to go beat them. It’s going to be a good one, for sure.” "If you want to win the West, it goes through Kansas City."Nik Bonitto knows the challenge ahead for the @Broncos 👀 #TNFonPrime pic.twitter.com/CReb5x44KK— NFL on Prime Video (@NFLonPrime) November 7, 2025 Denver and Kansas City will play twice over the final eight weeks of the season as the two teams attempt to win the division with the Los Angeles Chargers squarely in the mix as well.
