Broncos roll past Cowboys, but one injury changes the tone of the victory, plus other takeaways from Denver's Week 8 win

The Denver Broncos started red-hot against the Dallas Cowboys, immediately erasing concerns that the team would start off slow on offense. In Denver's victory over the New York Giants , quarterback Bo Nix and the offense didn't get going until the fourth quarter; that wasn't the case against the Cowboys. Nix was electric, but not without faults, as he had one interception early in the contest. Nevertheless, the second-year signal caller shone in the victory. It was his connection with some of the younger guys on the roster that made the victory even that much sweeter. However, it wasn't all good news for Denver. Superstar cornerback Pat Surtain suffered an apparent shoulder injury, sidelining him for the remainder of the contest. Surtain missing extended time would give Broncos Country cause for concern. There has been no word on the severity of Surtain's injury, but having him sit out the rest of the game isn't a good look.It cannot be overstated how important Surtain is to the team's long-term success.
