Bridging generations: Murrayfield House Care Home residents enjoy special visit from St George’s School students

Intergenerational activities like these are not only fun but provide meaningful benefits for residents, including improved mood, social engagement, and a sense of connection with the wider community. As summer draws to a close, Murrayfield House has been celebrating a variety of outdoor and social activities to make the most of the season. Looking ahead to the colder months, the team is preparing cosy indoor events, including Harvest Festival celebrations and other key activities throughout September, ensuring residents remain engaged and supported. Murrayfield House is part of HC-One, one of the UK’s largest care home providers with over 280 welcoming homes across the country. New residents can experience life at Murrayfield House with a special offer: four weeks for the price of three when joining before November 30. Fiona Truesdale, Home Manager at HC-One Scotland’s Murrayfield House Care Home, said: “Visits like this bring so much joy to our residents. Seeing them interact, share stories, and build bonds with younger people is truly special. These relationships are invaluable, and they enrich everyday life here at the home. “Autumn is the perfect time to embrace the warmth of a kind, welcoming community. Whether it’s enjoying time outdoors, joining in seasonal celebrations, or forming new friendships, life at Murrayfield House is full of meaningful moments.”
