A breast cancer awareness programme was organised by the Kundrathur Panchayat Union, in association with India Turns Pink, at the Block Development Office in Padappai on Monday. Kancheepuram Collector Kalaiselvi Mohan, advised women to undergo regular health check-up. Earlier, cancer detection tests were difficult and time-consuming. But today, with modern diagnostic tools, early identification has become much easier, she said. A walk and a signature campaign were also held to encourage early detection of breast cancer. P.A.
