UK airline Eastern Airways is reported to be on the brink of collapsing into administration. The Sun reports that the company has filed a notice of intention to appoint an administrator. This is a legal document that signals a company is about to enter administration. It provides a temporary freeze that stops creditors from taking legal action against the business for ten days. Eastern Airways was launched in 1997 and flies to several domestic airports in the UK, including Aberdeen, Humberside, London Gatwick, Newquay, Teesside International and Wick. It previously flew to international destinations including Paris, France. The airline carries around 1.3million passengers each year. This is a breaking news story.
