Brand Beckham shrugs off family feud to land record sales and profits

The Beckham family may have been rocked by a high profile feud between David, his wife Victoria and their son Brooklyn but it has done no harm to the business interests of its patriarch who has pocketed a £17.5 million dividend after securing a range of lucrative new brand contracts.

The umbrella company for the 50 year old former England captain’s business empire, DRJB Holdings, saw net profits jump by almost a quarter last year to $44.9 million (£35.1 million) from $36.2 million (£29.1 million). Revenues were 1% higher at $92.3 million.

The total dividend of $52.5 million (£39 million) will be divided between Beckham’s Footwork Productions, which owns 45% of the company, and investor Authentic Brands Group, which bought a majority 55% stake in 2022 for £200 million.

The US firm owns rights to the images of Muhammad Ali and Elvis Presley, as well as labels such as Reebok and Hunter.

DRJB Holdings owns DB Ventures, a “full-service global brand management operation” and the Studio 99 production company, which made the 2023 “Beckham” documentary series for Netflix.

The company said “growth momentum has continued into 2025” with deals signed with eyewear manufacturer Safilo “to design, produce, and distribute” Beckham’s sunglasses and frames collection.

It also signed “a multi-year design collaboration with fashion house BOSS for a new David Beckham collection. The first co-designed collection launched in Spring 2025 and the first Fall/Winter collection released this September.

The company has also moved into the wellness sector, teaming up with health sciences company, Prenetics to found consumer health products brand IM8.

More deals are expected to be announced “over the coming months in the build-up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup”

Beckham enjoyed a 20 year footballing career including stints with Manchester United , Real Madrid, and AC Milan.

Since retiring in 2013, he has grown a sprawling business empire, including becoming the co-owner of Inter Miami CF and bringing superstar Lionel Messi to the club.

The latest Sunday Times Rich List estimate the wealth of Beckham and his fashion designer and former Spice Girl wife Victoria at around £500 million.
