Fox Sports moved swiftly to find a replacement for Mark Sanchez after the former New York Jets quarterback was stabbed and later arrested in Indianapolis. The network selected Brady Quinn, a former NFL quarterback and current college football analyst, to commentate on Sunday’s Week 5 matchup between the Indianapolis Colts and Las Vegas Raiders, according to Front Office Sports. Quinn, 40, spent four seasons in the NFL before turning to broadcasting in 2019. He is best known for his work on Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff and also contributes as a colour commentator for NFL games. In addition, he co-hosts Blitz on Sirius XM Radio. Sanchez, 38, was charged following an alleged altercation with a 69-year-old delivery driver who told police he stabbed the ex-quarterback in self-defence. The incident took place outside Loughmiller’s Pub & Eatery in downtown Indianapolis, after Sanchez reportedly told the driver to move his vehicle, according to FOX59/CBS4. In a statement, Fox Sports said: “We are deeply grateful to the medical team for their exceptional care and support. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mark, and we ask that everyone please respect his and his family’s privacy during this time.” Quinn’s appointment marks a temporary reshuffle for Fox’s NFL coverage. What Brady Quinn’s Wife Said Quinn, who is married to former USA Olympic gymnast Alicia Sacramone, shared a light-hearted post online ahead of his assignment. “Then: sticking landings + slinging TDs. Now: balancing 5 kids’ schedules + calling audibles at home. 😉,” the couple wrote in a throwback photo. Sacramone, a silver medallist at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, is expected to be cheering on her husband as he steps in for Sunday’s broadcast.
