BP-AKR Restores Fuel Supply Across Gas Stations in Indonesia

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The management of BP-AKR has confirmed that fuel supplies have been fully restored across BP gas stations in Indonesia after more than a month of shortages.Customers can once again purchase BP’s flagship products, including BP 92, BP Ultimate, and BP Ultimate Diesel.“BP stations are now selling BP 92 with ACTIVE technology, as well as BP Ultimate Diesel. We are working to ensure stable supply so that services at all BP gas stations return to normal,” BP-AKR said in a statement on Thursday, October 30, 2025.With supplies now back to normal, BP-AKR expressed hope that customer confidence in its fuel services will soon recover. The company reiterated its commitment to providing high-quality products and reliable service for its customers nationwide.BP-AKR also confirmed that all BP gas station facilities in Indonesia, including convenience stores and partner tenants, remain fully operational and continue to serve customers as usual. The return of BP’s fuel supply coincides with the Indonesian government’s facilitation of negotiations between private fuel distributors and Pertamina, the state-owned oil and gas company.According to Laode Sulaeman, Director General of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, all private fuel station operators have now reached agreements with Pertamina to secure supply for their networks.“Everyone has now negotiated with Pertamina. Previously, some had not, but all have since reached an understanding,” Laode said during the Mining and Energy Anniversary Ceremony at the National Monument (Monas), Jakarta, on Friday, October 24, 2025.Earlier this year, BP, Shell, and Vivo gas stations in Indonesia faced fuel shortages from mid-August to October. BP-AKR has since become one of the companies to finalize a supply cooperation agreement with Pertamina.Pertamina Patra Niaga’s acting corporate secretary, Roberth M.V. Dumatubun, said BP-AKR and Vivo had advanced their partnership to the technical discussion stage, which includes commercial arrangements and joint inspections at the loading port.Roberth added that the process is being coordinated among the three private distributors, noting that fuel deliveries are handled collectively as part of a single procurement process.Editor’s Choice: Energy Minister Bahlil Sends Team to Inspect Pertalite Fuel Quality at East Java Gas StationsClick here to get the latest news updates from Tempo on Google News
