Luckily, they often go on sale, and right now, the more affordable version of our best overall pair (the QuietComfort Ultras) is $199 — the cheapest they ever get. I bought a pair years ago and love the noise-canceling technology, cushy padding, and neutral colorways. The battery life is decent, too, at 24 hours (although it does dwindle a tad with years of use, in my experience). And I’m not the only one who likes them. Chef Kristen Kish says they’re one of the few over-ear pairs that don’t get uncomfortable when wearing them for a long time, and deals editor Sam Daly says they’re her favorite pair (and always one of her top Prime Day deals). In other words, they’re one of the best pairs of headphones you can get for the price, especially when they go on sale. I usually only see them discounted in moonlight gray, but right now, nine colors are on sale. My personal favorite is sandstone, but the baby pink and blue pairs are especially nice for gifting.
