Boots confirms opening date of perfume only store with over 400 luxury scents

Calling all perfume fans. Boots’ first-of-its-kind fragrance boutique officially has an opening date – and it’s less than a month away. The health and beauty chain confirmed earlier this year that, following steady growth in sales, it would be opening its first ever perfume only store in London’s Broadgate Central Shopping Centre. Initially set for autumn, it was revealed at Boots’ Winer Showcase in London yesterday, October 1, that it would officially open its doors to the public on Thursday, October 23, reports Retail Week . Set to cover 2,150sq ft, the unique new store will be a treasure trove for perfume fans, offering 400 luxury and niche scents, alongside an assortment of 20 brands that will be a new addition to Boots. Boots Fragrance will celebrate the artistry and innovation of modern perfumery, bringing together prestige scents from new additions including Hermès and Guerlain, while also showcasing British founder-led brands and niche international labels. Offering a reimaged, sensory-led experience, the boutique is said to invite customers to experience perfumes in a different way, with features including discovery zones and immersive experiences. There will also be a team of Fragrance Specialists with advanced training on scent profiling will be on hand to deliver a fragrance matching service, alongside tailored advice and personalised, individual consultations. That’s not all, as shoppers looking to purchase a bottle of perfume for that someone special this Christmas will find a premium concierge service and luxury gift-wrapping service. Chelsey Saunders, Director of Fragrance at Boots, said: “Boots Fragrance boutique represents a bold step forward in how we bring fragrance to our customers. “As the nation’s favourite beauty retailer, we’re proud to be creating a space that not only showcases the very best in luxury and niche perfumery, but also makes it more accessible, inviting and inspiring for all.” Christopher Yu, Perfume Industry Expert and Trustee of The Fragrance Foundation UK, added: “The UK fragrance landscape is thriving – dynamic, diverse, and more creatively ambitious than ever. Boots has long been a trusted name in beauty, and the launch of the Boots Fragrance boutique is a powerful statement of its commitment to the UK fragrance industry. “By championing both heritage and innovative new brands, Boots is now a key part of inspiring a new generation of perfume creators and perfume lovers.” The opening of Boots Fragrance will mark another milestone for the retailer, as it continues to expand its portfolio with new innovative offerings that focus on the customer experience. This includes the opening of its first beauty-only store at Battersea Power Station in 2023. Offering over 250 show-stopping brands, new services and masterclasses, it has been described as a “one stop shop for all things beauty.” In other exciting UK high street news, budget Spanish fashion retailer Lefties, which started out as a Zara outlet, is potentially planning eyeing up a UK debut in 2026 and it could see it rival Primark. Meanwhile, Japanese apparel brand Uniqlo just opened the doors to its second Scottish store on Glasgow’s Argyle Street today, October 2, marking the second in the country.
