Oasis star Bonehead has revealed he has cancer and has announced he’s taking a break from the band’s huge comeback tour. The guitarist, whose real name Paul Arthurs, told fans he’s ‘responding really well to treatment’ which meant he was well enough to take part in the first leg of the Oasis reunion . But the 60-year-old has now said he’s taking a ‘planned break’ from the tour for the ‘next phase of my care’ In a message on Instagram he wrote: “Early this year I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. The good news is I’m responding really well to treatment, which meant I could be part of this incredible tour. I’m really sad to be missing these shows but I’m feeling good and will be back ready to go in time for South America. “Have an amazing time if you’re going this month and I’ll see you back onstage with the band in November.” Bonehead formed the band with Liam Gallagher in 1991 before Noel later joined and changed their name to Oasis. The group played two dates at Wembley last weekend and will now travel to South Korea on October 21. The tour moves to Buenos Aires in Argentina on November 15, for its concluding South American leg.
