Boden shoppers are raving about a pair of trousers that they say are perfect ‘for the cooler weather ‘ and that they can’t hand them over to the laundry basket as they ‘just wanted to keep showing them off’. The High Rise Stripe Jeans , which comes in four different colours, were £90 but have now slashed to half price. The trousers come in petite, regular or long fit, with sizes available from 25 to 34 – but availability varies with different sizes. Shoppers can nab the jeans in a marine wide stripe colour and red or pink wide stripe colour, which are both £45. While the multi stripe and red are sold for £72, and the blue pink stripe trousers are £99. The description of the High Rise Stripe Jeans reads: “Jeans but make them stripy. The jeans are also easy to care and maintain as they are machine washable. The High Rise Stripe Jeans have a slim fit through the waist and hip, with a straight leg which is designed to fall at the ankle. And in true Boden fashion, the jeans have five pockets included. They also come with a single stud button fastening at the centre of the front waist with a zip fly. For a completed look, you could style the High Rise Stripe Jeans with a blouse shirt and a pair of flats such as Mary Jane shoes. Elsewhere, Joanie has an outlet sale, which includes Marilyn Micro CHeck Print Tapered Trousers which were £65 but are now £26. Or for something with more neutral colours, the Friends Like These Navy Stripe Crinkle Jersey Wide Leg Trousers are £34 at Next. Back at Boden, the High Rise Stripe Jeans has received 80 reviews and rating of around 4.4 out of five stars. One pleased shopper reviewed: “I didn’t think they were going to fit me, as I purchased in the sale and this was the only size left, closest to me. I love them waiting for the cooler weather to wear them. This was a win win loving wider stripe.” Another happy customer said: “Great quality, stylish jeans. I bought these in the sale for a very good price and I’m incredibly happy with them. They are really versatile and comfortable.” And another buyer reviewed: “Perfect fit and the length was just right, not having to get the item shortened which is very rare, excellent. I love them. I think that being able to see the garment size is extremely helpful.” But not everyone was happy with their purchase. One shopper shared a mixed review and said: “Nice quality fabric and lovely vibrant stripes. However the image online shows the full array of colours across the front (and then therefore the rear?). The actual jeans delivered show the same colours down the front of each leg. “So the rear legs of the jeans had a bright yellow stripe all down my bottom and both legs . Definitely not as flattering as expected! Returned and purchased the blue and white”. And another buyer said: “Perfect fit, spot on. Loved the stripes but probably better suited to those with straight thighs – the wide stripe accentuates a curved thigh which was not the look I was hoping for, so back they go. But other shoppers had mostly positive reviews. One customer remarked: “I was delighted by the colors of the French Striped Jeans when I opened the package. Then, I threw them on, added a pink topper and the rest is history! “I had a hard time handing them over to the laundry basket because I just wanted to keep showing them off! I LOVE the pink and red stripes! They have such a subtle cheerfulness to them.” And another reviewer had this to say: “I’ve oooo’d and ahhhh’d about these jeans for ages and knew, eventually, I’d cave in and I’m glad I did they’re gorgeous and great fun!”
