The 2025 Global Citizen Festival just became even more exciting. Organisers have officially announced that BLACKPINK’s Rose will make a special appearance on September 27 in New York City’s Central Park.
For fans in Korea and around the world, Rose’s performance at the 2025 Global Citizen Festival will also be available to stream. In a statement, the organisers mentioned, “It’s ROSE season at #GlobalCitizenFestival! BLACKPINK’s Rose Joins An All-Star Global Citizen Festival Lineup
Rose will join the star-studded lineup featuring Shakira, Cardi B, Tyla, Ayra Starr, Mariah the Scientist, Camilo and Elyanna.

According to a report in The Hollywood Reporter, Global Citizen’s chief music and entertainment officer, Katie Hill, said, “Rose is one of the most influential artists of this generation, bridging languages and cultures through the universal power of music. We’re thrilled to welcome her to the Global Citizen stage for her first-ever solo festival performance.”
She added, “We can’t wait to see Number Ones and Blinks [Rose’s official fandom name and Blackpink’s official fandom name] on the Great Lawn this Saturday.”

Who Will Host And Lineup
This year, the Global Citizen Festival will be hosted by Hugh Jackman. Shakira will be headlining the event. Co-hosts include Bill Nye, Adam Lambert, Danai Gurira and Liza Koshy. Additionally, Kristen Bell, Tony Goldwyn, Laurie Hernandez, Nate Burleson, and Vladimir Duthiers will join as speakers.

The Weeknd Steps Down
Earlier, The Weeknd announced, “I regret to share that, due to personal reasons, I am unable to perform at Global Citizen.” He officially stepped down from the festival lineup, with Cardi B stepping in as his replacement.
