From the Broad Street thug who attacked three people on three different nights to the predator who committed 13 charges of rape - these are the latest Birmingham criminals to be sent to jail. This is our roundup of high-profile lawbreakers handed immediate prison sentences in October this year. The month saw a number of people involved in large drug dealing rings jailed. Council housing officer Paul Bradley kissed an 18-year-old girl, lifted her top up and kissed her on the chest without consent. The 58-year-old, of Newcombe Road, Handsworth, met the victim while doing agency work for Rugby Borough Council. He was immediately removed from his role once the attacks were reported to the authority. Bradley was found guilty of two charges of sexual assault. He was jailed for two years and eight months. Omari Maitland ran the 'Black' drugs line in Birmingham and the Black Country. Police linked the 31-year-old to a phone being used to operate the supply line. He was caught on CCTV topping it up in a shop. Maitland, from Hodge Hill admitted suppying crack cocaine and heroin and was jailed for seven years and one month. Damien Scarlett carried out three gun-point car-jackings. In one incident he pointed the weapon at a dad in front of his young children. He was linked to two similar thefts near Earlswood Lakes and in Solihull . Police tracked him down in one stolen car and witnessed him throw a firearm out of the vehicle. Scarlett, aged 36, from Wythall, was found guilty of three counts of robbery, three counts of possession of a firearm, and dangerous driving. He was sentenced to 16 years in prison with an additional four-year licence. Birmingham burglar Shafiollah Amiree broke into homes 60 miles away in Cheshire. He stole an Audi from the driveway of one property in Crewe and three weeks later returned to nearby Wistaston where he took a BMW and Ford. The 24-year-old of Birchdale Road, Birmingham, pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary, three counts of theft of a motor vehicle and two counts of driving while disqualified. He was sentenced to four years and six months in prison as well as banned from driving for five years and three months. Gurmeet Handa was behind a complex fraud involving the laundering of more than £5.3m. He had purchased around 30 properites using various bank accounts, some of which were outside of the UK, despite declaring little or no income to HMRC. The 52-year-old from Little Aston, admitted money laundering and was jailed for six years and nine months. He was also ordered to pay back £5.8m, including £460,000 to HMRC for unpaid taxes. Avtar Nijjer, aged 73, of Leicester, worked alongside Handa depositing cash on his behalf for more than one year. He was sentenced to one year and three months for money laundering and was ordered to repay £138,125. A third man from Birmingham received a community order for his involvement in the scam. Babyfaced teenager Callum Bennett carried out three vicious attacks on three separate nights out on Birmingham's Broad Street . After turning 18 he quickly spiralled into a world of alcohol, drugs, peer pressure and bravado. Bennett broke the jaw of another teenager in the former Heidi's Bier Bar in the early hours of New Year's Day. Later in January he attacked a teenaged love rival in the same venue, punching him three times. Then in February he knocked out a man on Broad Street with a single blow, believing he had carried out a sexual assault. The victim ended up in a coma having suffered a broken skull and brain damage. Bennett, from Sheldon, was sentenced to five years after admitting unlawful wounding, assault and wounding with intent. A Birmingham gang used a pressure cooker to smuggle more than £280,000 worth of heroin into the UK. Customs officers intercepted the haul in July 2023 but allowed the parcel to be delivered to its address in Formans Road, Sparkhill. Three men were subsequently arrested while half a kilo of heroin, cutting agents, phones and £15,000 cash were found in a flat in Stratford Road. The total heroin seized was worth nearly £460,000. Faseeh Ahmed, from Handsworth, was convicted of importing heroin, possessing with intent to supply heroin and possession of criminal property. He was jailed for eight years. Muhammad Awais, aged 27, and Abid Iqbal, 24, both of no fixed address were jailed earlier this year. Three men were involved in supplying cannabis in Birmingham. Police pursued a suspicious car in the city centre and arrested Kejdi Basha. They subsequently raided an apartment in Southside which contained more than 700 cannabis plants. There, they arrested Arjan Muca who arrived and tried to leave when he saw officers. Police found two large bags of cannabis at a second apartment where they detained Ergys Shquti. Basha, of no fixed address, and Muca, of Alum Rock Road admitted supplying and cultivating cannabis. Basha was sentenced to three years and three months while Muca received three years and nine weeks. Shquti admitted supplying cannabis and was sentenced to 12 weeks. Jayke Bullivant raped a child who had gone missing. The 19-year-old admitted a number of offences including rape, attempted rape, sexual abuse of a child and inciting a child into sexual activity. Bullivant, of Falcon Lodge Crescent, Sutton Coldfield was sentenced to nine years with an extended eight-year licence. Ziyao Gao breached his slavery and trafficking risk order. The 54-year-old, who also went by the name 'George', sublet a property with poor living conditions. Police tracked him to a disused supermarket where they found a hidden staircase behind a door and two Vietnamese men hiding. They had been working for Gao in exchange for cigarettes. Several other properties connected to him were searched, some of which had been modified to fit small bedrooms in with poor living conditions. Three people were arrested for immigration offences. Gao was sentenced to two years. Adnan Haider and Dayyaan Mahmood were spotted handling a gun on Raymond Road, Alum Rock on February 21. The pair fled sparking a helicopter search and were ultimately arrested. Mahmood, aged 19, of Saltley was jailed for five years after admitting possession of a firearm and possession of a knife. Haider, aged 21, from Sparkhill received seven years after being found guilty of the same offences at trial as well as driving while disqualified and without insurance. Anthony Nash carried out multiple rapes against two children and an adult in Cardiff, Wales. The 47-year-old from Shard End was arrested at his home in Birmingham after the victims came forward. He pleaded guilty to 13 counts of rape and was sentenced to life with a minimum term of 15 years in jail. Delveer Sadhra was spotted dealing drugs in Stafford by police who found cocaine, a phone and cash on him as well as further drugs and scales in a nearby address. A few months later the 30-year-old from Erdington was observed passing cash to the driver of a vehicle and then getting inside. Police ended up stopping the vehicle on the M6 near Walsall . Cocaine, heroin, cannabis, scales, phones and other drugs paraphernalia were found at an address in the town. Sadhra admitted various drugs offences and was jailed for two years and seven months.
