Bilston Town Bullets FC Under 9s have launched an inspiring new initiative – The Giveback Project – aimed at helping children in the local community take their first steps into football.
The project is collecting donations of essential football gear, including boots, shin pads, and clothing, which will be distributed to children who might otherwise struggle to access the sport. For many families, the cost of equipment can be a major barrier, and the Bullets are determined to make football accessible to every child who wants to play.
In addition to providing equipment, the Giveback Project will also offer free coaching sessions delivered by FA-qualified coaches from across the Bilston Town FC setup. These sessions are designed to give youngsters the chance to develop their skills, build confidence, and enjoy the game in a supportive environment.
Team manager Dan Foy explained: “Football should be for everyone. We know there are children in our community who want to play but don’t have the means to get started. Through the Giveback Project, we’re not only giving them the equipment they need but also the opportunity to be coached by experienced, qualified coaches who can help them fall in love with the game.”
The club is now appealing to the public for donations of boots, shin pads, and suitable sports clothing in good condition. Every item donated will go directly to a child in need.
To donate, or to express an interest in receiving items through the project, please get in touch via any of the Bilston Town Bullets social media platforms or email Dan directly at Dan.foy@bilstontown.co.uk.
With the Giveback Project, Bilston Town Bullets U9s hope to break down barriers, support local families, and ensure football is truly a game for all.
