Bills Can Land 3-time All-Pro Playmaker With 'Blockbuster' Trade Offer

The Buffalo Bills are a prime contender make a deal for a wide receiver ahead of the NFL trade deadline, and they can potentially land one of the best in the sport if they come with a monster offer. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported this weekend that the Philadelphia Eagles don’t plan to trade three-time All-Pro A.J. Brown. However, Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk clarified that report, noting that a “godfather offer” might grease the wheels on a move. “Although the headline is that the Eagles are ‘not expected’ to trade Brown, Schefter’s report expressly leaves the door open for a ‘blockbuster’ offer to get the Eagles’ attention,” Florio wrote. Florio mentioned the Bills as a logical trade partner along with a handful of other marquee franchises including the Pittsburgh Steelers and Kansas City Chiefs. Insiders around the league expect Buffalo to be buyers ahead of the Nov. 4 deadline, as the team needs both receiver help and upgrades to its secondary. “In a perfect world, the Bills should be aggressive. They arguably need help at both cornerback and safety, as well as a wide receiver for Josh Allen,” Eric Edholm of NFL Network wrote Friday. “The WR need can’t be overlooked; their advanced metrics are pretty blah across the board at that position, and the offense hasn’t topped 245 net pass yards since Week 1.” Buffalo sent the Cleveland Browns a third-round pick for wideout Amari Cooper last October, so a stronger offer to the Eagles for Brown doesn’t feel out of the realm of possibility. Brown has tallied 7,421 receiving yards and 52 touchdowns on 475 receptions over the course of his career, topping 1,000 yards receiving in five of his six NFL campaigns heading into 2025. He will not play Sunday against the New York Giants due to a hamstring strain. Read More: Bills’ Trade Deadline Plans Could Take Wild Twist After Latest Report
