The Buffalo Bills and New Orleans Saints are set for action on Sunday, Sept. 28. Buffalo has the clear advantage on paper, as the team has been able to accomplish what no other in NFL history has been able to do through three weeks, and the Saints are just holding on for dear life through the early stages.Through three weeks, Buffalo is the only team in NFL history to score more than 100 points, have fewer than 15 penalties, no turnovers, more than 150 yards rushing per game, and more than 250 net passing yards.While defensive tackle Ed Oliver and linebacker Matt Milano have been ruled out of the contest, Buffalo is still a heavy favorite in the matchup and will be playing in one of the final home games in Highmark Stadium before the team moves across the street in 2026. Khalil Shakir finds an incredible way to give back to the community Outside of shutting down the rumor, Shakir was able to discuss his dog-focused nonprofit, The Shakir Family Foundation. On the official Instagram page, the foundation "is dedicated to saving four-legged friends and supporting our hero's one paw at a time."To date, Shakir's foundation has saved 40 dogs, and even showed off a few of the dogs the foundation has rescued."She's (Missy) the reason why we kind of got into all the dog rescue stuff, totally unplanned," Shakir said. "Just went to an event and ended up falling in love. With her, I brought her home, and then the impact she's had on our family has been so unreal. So, we decided to just start working with the local rescues."His teammates even joined in on the fun, adopting a few dogs along the way. Shakir was more than grateful for what his teammates and friends were able to help with."My event last year, we had like four or five teammates leave with a dog," Shakir said. "So then this one, this year, everyone was hesitant to show up because they know if they show up, they leave with a dog."The talented receiver has been a difference-maker on and off the field since arriving in Buffalo, and Bills Mafia can't wait to see what else he's able to accomplish in all of his endeavors moving forward.
