Bill Simmons Calls Out Steelers' Aaron Rodgers, Questions His Physical Health

The Pittsburgh Steelers played arguably their worst game of the season on Sunday Night Football against the Los Angeles Chargers, losing 25-10. More news: Steelers Usage of Aaron Rodgers Could Delay His Retirement After an impressive 27-20 win against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 9, the hope was for the Steelers to come out and play their best football. Unfortunately, despite the many Chargers injuries, Los Angeles came to play and deserved to win. It was a rather disappointing game for Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers, who's only getting older, has shown some promising signs throughout the year. However, at 41 years old, it's fair to question whether he can keep up with what he did in the earlier stages of the year. When discussing the game and particularly Rodgers, Bill Simmons stated that he wonders if Rodgers was able to play well throughout the first few weeks of the season and if his body is now breaking down. “It’s Rodgers, it’s Sunday night, it’s [NBC Sports analyst] Cris Collinsworth cackling his way through the game — it had all the makings, and the Steelers were just awful. Rodgers, particularly, was awful,” Simmons said, per the NY Post. “And I do wonder, was this a two-month thing with him physically where he could kind of patch this together but as the season went along and he took some hits, now we’re seeing him break down.” More news: Mike Tomlin Gets Brutally Honest About Aaron Rodgers’ Play in Steelers Loss While Rodgers didn't play well, throwing for just 161 yards, one touchdown, two interceptions, and posting a quarterback rating of 50.6, it was also one bad game for the future Hall of Famer. It doesn't have to be taken to the next level like Simmons stated, but it’ll be something to watch out for moving forward.
