Murray was previously spotted in Cork last weekend, where he visited The Harbour Turkish Bar in Cobh for a haircut and popped into The Good Dairy Company in Kinsale to try some of their signature ice cream flavours.
The Ghostbustersand Groundhog Daystar posed for photos with business owners and fans along the way.
This week, Bridesmaidsand The IT Crowdactor Chris O’Dowd joined Murray on his adventure across Munster.
The pair are said to be filming in the Kerry area for a new documentary.
Posting on social media, the Sean McCarthy Memorial Festival shared a photo of O’Dowd with festival chairperson Jimmy Deenihan, who was “delighted” to welcome the actor to Sheehan’s Thatched Cottage.
“Chris, who is currently filming a documentary series with Bill Murray and exploring locations throughout Kerry, was captivated by the charm of the 18th-century cottage and has promised to visit again,” he said.
Murray, O’Dowd, and Coyne called into Éalú at the Stonehouse in Fahan, where they got some lunch, shopping, chocolates, and lemon dessert on their journey around the county.
They also popped into The Golden Nugget in Fossa, where they met Fossa football players following their defeat in the Kerry IFC final against An Gaeltacht, for a pint of Guinness.
Dingle Skellig Hotel said in an Instagram post that “an exciting few days” had been had on the Dingle Peninsula following the trio’s visit.
“The town was abuzz with some superstars of the big screen, their crew as well as Tom Coyne who we hope enjoyed some of the most beautiful golf courses in the country. Always a pleasure to share the magic of the Dingle Peninsula with wonderful guests. Can’t wait to see the final product,” the hotel posted.
