The Bihar Secondary Education Eligibility Test (STET) 2025 notification has been released. According to the official schedule, the application process for Bihar STET 2025 will begin on September 11. The last date to apply is September 19, 2025. The notice can be accessed at bihar-stet.com.
Only those who pass STET can apply for BPSC TRE-4, the fourth phase of teacher recruitment. STET will be conducted from October 4 to October 25, 2025, with results announced on November 1.
Bihar STET 2025: Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit: The maximum age limit for STET is 37 years. Women, BC, and MBC category candidates get a three-year age relaxation. SC and ST category candidates receive a five-year relaxation, and Divyang candidates get a ten-year relaxation.
Educational Qualification:
For Paper-1 (Secondary): Graduation in a relevant subject with 50% marks and B.Ed., or Master’s degree and B.Ed., or Bachelor/Master’s degree with 45% marks and B.Ed., or four-year BA-B.Ed./B.Sc. B.Ed.
For Paper-2 (Higher Secondary): Master’s degree in the subject and B.Ed./BA B.Ed./BSc B.Ed., or Master’s degree and B.Ed. with minimum 45% marks, or Master’s degree with 55% marks and a three-year B.Ed. course.
Bihar STET Syllabus:
The exam will follow the syllabus for subjects covered under STET Paper-1 (secondary) and Paper-2 (higher secondary classes). Successful candidates in Paper-1 and Paper-2 will receive a lifelong valid STET pass certificate.
STET Paper-1 subjects: Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Maithili, Sanskrit, English, Bhojpuri, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Economics, Commerce, Political Science, Physical Education, Music, Dance, Fine Arts, and Special Education.
STET Paper-2 subjects: Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Maithili, Sanskrit, English, Bhojpuri, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Economics, Commerce, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Home Science, Arabic, Persian, Computer Science, Agriculture, and Music.
Bihar STET 2025: Application Fees
The application fees for general, OBC, and EWS category candidates for one paper is Rs 960. If they wish to appear for both the papers, they need to pay Rs 1140. While SC, ST, and PWD category candidates need to pay Rs 760 for either paper 1 and 2 and Rs 1140 for both papers.
