Bihar polls: Nitish Kumar thanks voters in video address

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has released a video message for the state's voters ahead of the upcoming assembly elections. In the over three-minute address, Kumar thanked people for supporting him and his party, Janata Dal (United), since 2005. He slammed previous governments, especially Lalu Prasad Yadav's regime, accusing them of dynastic politics and failing to work for women. Kumar boasted of his government's development work in education, health, roads, electricity, drinking water, and agriculture since he took office. He claimed that under his leadership, Bihar has been transformed from a state where being a Bihari was a matter of insult to one where it is now a matter of respect. The CM also emphasized his commitment to serving all sections of society irrespective of their caste or religion. Kumar appealed to voters to ensure the victory of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidates in the upcoming elections. I request you to make the candidates of NDA victorious in the elections this time. Give us one more chance. After this, more work will be done, which will develop Bihar so much that it will be included among the top states, he said. The Bihar Assembly elections will be held in two phases, with results due on November 14.
