Rithu Chowdary’s husband, Cheemakurti Srikanth, is reportedly worth hundreds of crores in assets. This information came to light a few months ago.
The couple’s names were linked to a property fraud case involving assets worth Rs 700 crore in Vijayawada and Ibrahimpatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The alleged fraud is said to have involved properties worth crores registered in Rithu’s name. Purported related documents also went viral online.
Dharma Singh, the Sub-Registrar of Ibrahimpatnam, even sent a letter to Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Chandrababu Naidu, raising concerns about the land dealings involving Rithu and Srikanth. Srikanth responded by alleging that Dharma Singh, during his time as a sub-registrar, had accepted bribes.
A twist in the tale came when documents related to the transactions were found to contain Rithu’s photograph, signature, fingerprints, and other details. As the controversy intensified, Rithu issued a public clarification. She stated that she has been separated from Srikanth for the past year and currently has no contact with him. She is moving on with her life and has informed the court of the same.
Rithu claimed that although she filed a case related to the issue, Srikanth had asked her to sign the documents while they were still together. She maintained that she was unaware of the value of the properties involved and does not understand why her name is being dragged into the matter now. Rithu Chowdary is reportedly one of the highest-paid contestants in the Bigg Boss house, earning Rs 39,000 per day, amounting to around Rs 2.34 lakh per week.
Rithu began her career as a television anchor and later gained popularity through serials, short films, and the show Jabardasth. Active on social media, she frequently shares photos and reels, receiving both praise and criticism. Although her name has surfaced in the land scam, her exact role or level of involvement remains unclear.
