Bigg Boss 19 is serving up high doses of tension, endless entertainment and intense drama in the house. Staying true to its format, the controversial reality show has kept viewers glued to their television screens with unexpected twists and jaw-dropping fights among contestants and the latest episode was no different. Drama hit a fever pitch in the Bigg Boss 19 house during the latest captaincy task, as tensions escalated between contestants and a serious accusation shook the house.
Singer-composer Amaal Mallik found himself at the centre of controversy after Nehal Chudasama broke down, accusing him of physically attacking her during the task. In the newly introduced captaincy challenge, housemates were divided into two teams—Red and Blue.
Team Red had Amaal Mallik, Abhishek Bajaj, Tanya Mittal, Mridul Tiwari, Awez Darbar, Ashnoor Kaur, Pranit More and Farhana Bhat, while Team Blue featured Baseer Ali, Neelam Giri, Nagma Mirajkar, Zeishan Quadri and Shehbaz Badesha.
What happened during the task?
The task involved writing and erasing reasons why the opposing team members were unfit for captaincy. While Amaal took on the role of ‘duster’ for Team Red, Nehal represented Team Blue as their ‘writer.’
As soon as the task started, chaos erupted when Baseer and Abhishek got into a physical scuffle as Baseer tried to erase Abhishek’s writing on the board. The situation got out of control when Baseer threw the board in the pool after it had been broken, followed by Amaal also throwing the board into the pool in anger.
Nehal and Amaal’s controversy
Nehal accused Amaal of physically hurting her in the process, claiming she was hit on her private parts. However, Baseer immediately stepped in to defend Amaal, clarifying that it wasn’t deliberate. She cried inconsolably in the garden area, refusing Amaal’s apologies.
A visibly shaken Amaal broke down, defending himself emotionally to Zeishan, saying, “Mujhe meri dog ki kasam main ne kuch nahi kiya. Maine kuch wrong touch nahi kiya. Arre main utha bhi nahi sakta tha usko.” Several housemates, including Gaurav, Tanya, Awez, Nagma and others stood by Amaal, affirming that his actions were not intentional.
Nehal and Amaal talk it out
Later, Nehal clarified to fellow contestants that while the incident did cause her pain, she did not believe Amaal’s intent was malicious. In a heartfelt conversation with Amaal that night, she said, “Ye task physical hone ka tha he nahi. Ye task dimag ka tha, aise toh Abhishek jaise bande harr task ko physical banayenge. Toh koi ground rules he nahi honge kisi ke liye bhi. Harr task physical nahi hota, Amaal. Harr throws mein harm hui hoon, harr throws mein… I am not talking about my injuries.
Tu mera dost hai aur mujhe will he nahi hai ke main tere against ek shabhd bhi bolun. I don’t want to blame you or make you in guilt. I just want to make you realise what I’m trying to say. The entire house knows your intention was not wrong, meri soch wahan tak gay hi nahi…”
Bigg Boss 19’s contestant list
This season, the contestants locked inside the Bigg Boss house are Gaurav Khanna, Amaal Mallik, Awez Darbar, Ashnoor Kaur, Mridul Tiwari, Nagma Mirajkar, Kunickaa Sadanand, Baseer Ali, Abhishek Bajaj, Tanya Mittal, Zeishan Quadri, Nehal Chudasama, Natalia Janoszek, Pranit More, Farhana Bhatt and Neelam Giri. The show, hosted by Salman Khan, airs on JioHotstar at 9 PM and Colors TV at 10:30 AM.
This Week’s Nominations
The nominated contestants for this week are Natalia Janoszek, Mridul Tiwari, Awez Darbar and Nagma Mirajker. Mridul and Natalia were nominated after losing the task of guessing in 19 minutes, while Awez Darbar and Nagma Mirajker were disqualified when Abhishek Bajaj locked up the activity room so that no one could disturb them during the task.
