Music composer and singer Amaal Mallik has emerged as one of the strongest contestants on Bigg Boss 19. Although he has been through his share of highs and lows, he bonded well with Baseer Ali, Tanya Mittal and other contestants. However, due to some decisions made by host Salman Khan, there have been rumours about Bigg Boss 19 makers being biased towards Amaal. During an interview with Zoom/Telly Talk, the music composer’s aunt, Roshaan Garry, opened up about the speculations. Roshaan Garry Reacts to Biasness Speculations When Amaal Mallik’s aunt Roshaan Garry was asked about her opinion on the bias speculations, she simply stated, “I honestly don’t think they (the makers) are biased. I really don’t think that. Because if they were biased, they wouldn’t beep out his words like that.” She also asked, “If our kids do something wrong or say something bad, do we go around shouting it to the world? No, right? Biased on what basis?” She also reacted to a scene where Amaal was crying after he was reportedly scolded by Salman Khan. “If he had cried and if it was shown to the audience, that would’ve been better, right?” Garry asked. “He would have gained some sympathy,” she added. Further talking about the bias claims, Garry shared that she believes Kunickaa Sadanand’s son’s appearance in the first week and Gauahar Khan’s presence in the show were true examples of bias. “If they were really biased towards Amaal, then when Gauahar was bashing him, they would’ve edited that out and not shown it. But they showed it because they wanted the entertainment, that whole part of it, you know?” she said, pointing out that the makers portrayed Amaal like a “gunda”, and if they were truly biased towards him, they would have edited all those parts. “So, I don’t think that happened at any point.” She stated. Roshaan Garry Comments About Salman Khan and Amaal Mallik’s Friendship For the unversed, Salman Khan is a friend of Amaal Mallik and his family. The music composer made his debut in Salman Khan’s Jai Ho and also collaborated with him later on various songs. During the interview, Amaal’s aunt also denied the allegations of Salman Khan being biased towards Amaal because of their friendship. “Just because Salman sir knows him beforehand, that doesn’t mean he’s biased towards him. Because the whole idea of Bigg Boss is pretty simple – entertain and he is entertaining,” she noted.
