Big PRICE CUT On Amul Products: Passing the benefit of reduced GST rates to its customers the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) has announced a price cut on its 700 packaged products. The products include ghee butter ice cream bakery products and frozen snacks. The revised prices will be effective from September 22.
What Did Amul Say On Price Cut?
The GCMMF in its statement said that the price reduction has been implemented on its major products.
This price reduction has been implemented on products like butter ghee UHT milk ice cream cheese chocolate bakery range frozen dairy and potato snacks condensed milk peanut spread malt-based beverages etc the statement read.
Amul believes that the price reduction will increase consumption of a wide range of dairy products especially ice cream cheese and butter as per capita consumption in India is still very low creating huge growth opportunities GCMMF added in the statement.

Will The Reduction In GST Rates Increase Demand Of Amul’s Products?
The GCMMF which represents 3.6 million farmers stated that the reduction in GST rates would increase demand for its products. This will affect the company’s business in a positive manner.

Mother Dairy Reduced Prices
Earlier Mother Dairy announced major price reduction on its products. The revised prices will come into force from September 22.
However both the dairy giants reduce the prices of double-toned milk toned milk full cream milk cow milk and buffalo milk.
