A Big Brother finalist has taken to Instagram with a concerning health update.
Reality TV star Henry Southan, who shot to fame in the 20th series of Big Brother, shared the news on his Instagram stories today (17 September), explaining that he had to miss the Slow Horses premiere due to his sudden hospital visit.
Sharing a snap of himself hooked up to a drip, Big Brother finalist Henry admitted it hadn’t been the “most ideal 24 hours”, as the star was now on a drip. He wrote: “Hasn’t been the most ideal 24 hours! Getting much-needed rest – gutted to be missing the Slow Horses premiere tonight but rest comes first.”
Henry didn’t reveal what led to his unexpected hospital visit. However, given his regular updates on Instagram, fans may not have to wait long for further news.
The ITV2 star first entered the public eye in 2023 when he joined the Big Brother house for its 20th season. The then 25 year old from Toddington only faced the public vote twice, once in week two and then again in the final where he secured third place, reports the Mirror.
During his time on the show, he grew close to fellow contestant Jordan Sangha, especially after winning a luxury dining experience and choosing Jordan to share it with him.
Jordan went on to win the series. After their stint in the Big Brother house, Henry and Jordan continued their romance, until they abruptly split in April this year. Both have since opened up about how the break up affected them on social media.
Henry shared: “After a lot of thought, Jordan and I have decided to go our separate ways. It’s incredibly sad, and we’re both hurting, but we know it’s the right step. We’re so grateful for the love and support you’ve shown us – thank you. Please give us some space as we figure things out privately.”
Meanwhile, Jordan wrote on his own account: “After many times, memories, and precious experiences, Henry and I have parted ways. I want to thank everyone who has supported us. We will always remain close friends. Cheers x.”
Since the announcement, Henry has been actively sharing content across his social platforms, particularly highlighting dining establishments he’d recommend. The reality television personality runs a video series showcasing essential eateries to visit “before you die”.
His culinary content has garnered praise from numerous celebrities, including Gemma Collins, who remarked it was “good to see you back” following Henry’s brief social media hiatus.
Henry has also been documenting his appearances at various red carpet occasions, attending numerous high-profile events such as the Slow Horses premiere – an event he was originally meant to attend before his hospital admission.
