Big Brother star flooded with support as they open up on health battle

A Big Brother housemate has admitted “I should be dead” while discussing a harrowing health ordeal. The popular ITV2 series made its comeback earlier this week , delivering its usual dose of drama and surprises. Viewers have already witnessed political influencer Emily’s early departure and the introduction of four new contestants. In a dramatic turn of events, two more participants are facing eviction this week after a harsh twist saw the new arrivals forced to cast the ‘evil eye’ on their fellow housemates . Zelah and Gani were the two housemates chosen by the newcomers, putting them at risk of eviction. Adding a fresh spin to the process, it is now up to the audience to vote for whom they wish to keep in the show, reports OK! . During the episode aired on October 1, one of the stars shared a personal revelation about a serious health challenge, prompting an outpouring of support. Caroline, affectionately known as Monkey, disclosed: “I should be dead.” In a candid conversation with Feyisola about her breasts, she revealed her fight against breast cancer, stating: “They’re not real because I had breast cancer. “I should be dead. I should be dead, if I hadn’t have gone when I did.” Caroline explained that playing with her cross necklace led her to notice something was amiss, which prompted a visit to her GP and subsequent referral to the hospital for further tests. She later underwent a lumpectomy, a surgical operation to remove a malignant tumour. Online support for Caroline has been pouring in, with heartfelt messages. One person wrote on Instagram: “God bless Caroline.” Another person commented: “Breast cancer awareness.” Another chimed in with praise, saying: “Love the fact that the chat was just that a chat about a serious thing love that there’s a favourite.” Meanwhile, on platform X, a fan expressed their support, saying: “Poor Caroline. She’s amazing for pulling through that ordeal. Amazing woman.” Another shared their admiration: “Caroline/Monkey has lived a life and we need to hear far more about it!”. And yet another was taken aback, writing: “what. #caroline had reconstruction post cancer surgery. damn.” Big Brother continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2.
