Big Brother is set to be rocked by explosive rows over politics when it returns with its new series . The nation is more divided than ever at the moment and bosses want the iconic reality show to reflect that in the range of housemates. There will be views from across the political spectrum, which is likely to spark rows. Host AJ Odudu said: “At the end of the day Big Brother is a social experiment, so getting people into the house who do have differing views and opinions is what makes the show so interesting to watch. “One of the reasons why the show is so amazing is the diverse range of people that are represented on screen.” Co-host Will Best thinks the move will show how people with different views can still get along. He said: “What Big Brother teaches us is that people can overcome political differences really easily if they have sensible grown up conversations. “They can still be friends.” AJ added: “No matter where your political stance lies or your religion, there is going to be something to learn from each and every housemate. “There are going to be dynamics we can all take something away from.” Will thinks there are other factors that are far more divisive than politics when the wannabes move into the TV house. He said: “People can overcome political differences more easily that differences in personal hygiene and food ordering. “It turns out those are the things that divide people.” They are hoping housemates will let down their guard once they move in. Will said: “We want to see all facets of British society represented.” AJ added: “I want to see authenticity. I want people to go in there and be their authentic selves from day one. We never know what to expect and that’s the exciting thing about it. “I actually am going into it with no expectations other than I want to see a diverse group of housemates.” The series starts on Sunday at 9pm on ITV2.
