WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Big Brother. Big Brother 2025 has debuted but one contestant was kicked off the show within just a few hours of their arrival. The unforgettable ITV2 reality series returned last night, Sunday, September 29, with hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best introducing 12 fresh housemates before continuing this evening. A diverse mix of personalities entered the famous house, including farmer Cameron, PR expert Caroline, personal trainer Zelah, and buff butler business owner Tate, all eager for the adventure of a lifetime. Sadly for political influencer Emily, her Big Brother journey was cut brutally short just hours after stepping through the doors, as she, Sam and Caroline found themselves with the lowest public votes. The trio were then forced to decide amongst themselves who should depart, and with the other two pointing the finger at her, Emily was compelled to make her exit. Despite the early fireworks, ITV viewers have been left utterly underwhelmed by the opening episode following its official premiere. “This is just boring. Pointless eviction and a lot of waffle about pigs and ducks ! ! Sort it out Big Brother”, one viewer complained. Another echoed the sentiment: “Kicking someone out the first night is so boring, it’s not the shock factor the producers think it is.” However, it wasn’t merely the unexpected elimination that frustrated audiences, as another disgruntled viewer declared: “Might be the WORST line up I’ve ever ever ever seen for normal #BigBrother. “It’s like they’ve tried their best to make it like Love Island all around the same age, no big personalities just boring as hell.” Meanwhile, another viewer bluntly commented: “This has to be the most boring first episode ever.” Usually, Big Brother opens its iconic doors to a diverse age range, but this series seems to have the youngest cast in the show’s history. Indeed, only two housemates are not in their twenties, with the rest of the cast aged between 18 and 27. As hinted at the end of tonight’s episode, four more housemates will soon be joining the Big Brother house, so it remains to be seen if a broader age range will be introduced in the future. Big Brother continues every night on ITV2 and ITVX.
