Bharti Airtel shares surged over 2 per cent in morning trade on Tuesday, touching a new 52-week high of ₹2,135.60, after the telecom major reported robust second-quarter results. The stock was trading at ₹2,115.70, up ₹41.70 or 2.01 per cent from its previous close of ₹2,074, with healthy volumes of 75.78 lakh shares traded on the NSE. The company’s stellar performance was driven by consolidated revenues of ₹52,145 crore for Q2 FY26, registering a 25.7 per cent year-on-year growth. The India business posted revenues of ₹38,690 crore, up 22.6 per cent YoY, led by continued premiumisation in the mobile segment and strong momentum in the homes business. Consolidated EBITDA stood at ₹29,919 crore, with a healthy margin of 57.4 per cent, while net income before exceptional items jumped to ₹6,792 crore from ₹3,911 crore in the same quarter last year. The company’s mobile ARPU improved to ₹256 from ₹233 in Q2 FY25, reflecting better realisations. The homes business recorded impressive growth with 951,000 net customer additions during the quarter, achieving 30.2 per cent YoY revenue increase. Airtel Business also reported strong sequential revenue growth of 4.3 per cent. The company’s net debt to EBITDA ratio improved significantly to 1.63 times from 2.50 times a year ago, demonstrating strong deleveraging. Published on November 4, 2025
