Bethlehem Catholic girls volleyball beats Middletown in PIAA Championship first round

Katie Wagner’s double-double was not enough as Middletown girls volleyball lost to Bethlehem Catholic 3-1 (25-18, 15-25, 25-15, 25-14) Tuesday in the opening round of the PIAA 3A Championship. Wagner led the Blue Raiders with 15 kills and added 13 digs. Brynn Jones had a team-high 20 digs. Lena Jones chipped in 12 kills. Kenadee Hileman had 14 digs, and Taylor Bunnell finished with 13. Bethlehem Catholic will face the winner of Pope John Paul II and Carver Engineering and Science in the quarterfinals.
